The things I knew about Finland before I came here were Nokia, Lapland and Santa Claus. And I knew that Finland is a country where everyone follows the rule of law. It’s a little colder than I thought it would be, but other than that it’s been everything I expected and more.

This is a great place to study and there’s a lively international atmosphere here. You spend the weeks studying and studies in university of applied sciences are very work-life oriented. I feel like they are really teaching me how to make practical use of what I’m studying. During the weekends there are lots of activities and clubs and restaurants to go to with friends.

I’d recommend Helsinki to anyone thinking about going abroad to study. The education system is wonderful, you can walk around freely any time of the day or night, the people are hospitable, and it’s just a great life. And there are very, very many Nepalese restaurants!
