Studying International Business at ARCADA University of Applied Sciences
My father has a tour company, which brings Russian tourists to Sweden, Finland and Norway, and when it was time for me to decide where to study, he said I should go to one of the Nordic countries. I chose Finland because I’ve been here with my father many times. I like Finland because everything here is different than in Russia. It’s a calm country and it’s very easy to meet people from all over the world here in Helsinki. As far as the education system here goes, it’s very practical and work-life oriented, which I really enjoy.
I’m working on my Master’s degree right now, and I’m definitely very interested in pursuing career opportunities here in Finland. I’m interested in doing business in Europe in the future and I feel like studying in Helsinki is really going to prepare me for that.
I would definitely recommend Helsinki as a great place to study and encourage Russian students to come here and to see the world from a different perspective than they’re used to at home.
